President’s Communication – November, 2026
Dear Friends,
Before sharing the activities lined up for November, I would like to remember CA Damji Umarshi Mechant, one of the founding members of our Association, who passed away last month at the age of 95. He served as President of CVOCA from 1984 to 1986 and made valuable contributions towards building the association we are proud of today. His legacy and contributions will always be remembered with gratitude.
With the audit season gradually behind us, November brings the festive spirit of Diwali, the festival of lights. After months of hectic professional commitments, it is perhaps the perfect time to slow down, spend quality time with our families and reconnect with loved ones.
Keeping this thought in mind, we have planned a self-contributory family picnic to Sri Lanka. I am sure this will be a wonderful opportunity for members and their families to unwind, bond and create memories beyond our professional lives.
We also have some exciting activities lined up. Our Women’s Programme on 21st November will be followed by the Sequence and Notram Tournament on 22nd November. Continuing our financial literacy campaign, we are also taking our Wills and Succession Planning initiative to Ahmedabad with our third programme, carrying forward our endeavour to make families more aware and prepared.
At CVOCA, we will continue to bring together opportunities for professional learning, social engagement and meaningful contribution to society. Your participation and ideas are what keep us moving forward.
