Dear Professional Colleagues,

It is with a profound sense of gratitude and reflection that I pen my final address for our association. June, the month where we dearly welcome monsoons after experiencing the scorching heat. It also starts the month of Ashadh, which is considered to be the last month as per Kutchi calendar. June month also signifies the beginning of the busy assurance and compliance season, as well as the transition of CVOCA leadership with the commencement of the new academic year.

As I prepare to step down and pass the baton to our incoming President CA Gautam R. Mota and the new managing committee for the year 2026-27, I find myself looking back not just at the past year, but at the incredible resilience and future of our profession.

Over the last year, whilst we consistently propagated high-quality learning, professional development, embracing technology and bonding amongst members, we undertook various initiatives to foster the reach and brand of Association. Looking back, the highlights of this year have been the moments of connection:

  • Technical Seminars – The most important and the crux of last year was to have a collective learning through shared knowledge rather than the solitary effort. For Public, Members and Students various technical programs were conducted to improve and update the knowledge at different levels. One of the highlights of last month was “Office Automation Course 3.0”. This course garnered very good response from members and other participants alike.
  • Fellowship & Networking – One of the key features of Association is fellowship amongst the members. Various recreational and bonding events fostered deeper bonds amongst the members and families. Many young members have started participating in various events and initiatives of Association.
  • Outreach – Participation of public at large for activities or courses which are made available for them have seen very good participation. Our association membership has grown and it as at a kissing distance from 2500. Followers at social media handles of CVOCA saw a considerable increase last year.
  • Embracing Technology – A new and revamped website of the Association was launched in this year along with a dynamic blog post which catered to Association’s thought leadership on various professional articles as well as many one pager monographs called “Gyaan Ganga”. Technology has become an integral part of CA professional and thus various seminars and course on technology helped members to unlearn and relearn newer technology.

Year after year, our Association has flourished and expanded its influence and contributions due to its strong ethical foundation and the dedicated efforts of selfless volunteers. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the selfless volunteers of CVOCA Core Group, who uphold the values and principles of CVOCA with utmost integrity. The year always ends with Annual General Meeting (AGM) and mega networking as well as entertainment event which follows AGM. This year, a thoughtful, spiritual and musical event is planned called “Bhajan Jamming”. It is a devotional music experience that blends traditional Hindu bhajans and kirtans with modern and contemporary beats. I urge all the members to come and witness this last event of the year.

I thank everyone for their support and allowing me an opportunity to serve this august Association. I look forward to CVOCA’s continued success under the new leadership.

Thank You,

CA Harsh Dedhia
